Abstract: The expansion of online conferences over the past two years and the increasing number of video recordings of academic presentations in history, in medieval studies in particular, posted on the Web, requires the scholarly community to comprehend and regulate this new form of publication of research results. The author discusses the prospects of the development of this new format, some problems of copyright, cataloguing, and access to academic videos.
